I've been bouncing the issue in discord but it seems like either a bug or an issue with my environment so i'm starting a thread to keep track of it all.

I have a simple launcher with AOPS that works beautifully. I'm now at the point of making an actual launch button, which just crashes the launcher out. I'm building it to be called "WingsXI-Launcher" and the application it needs to run is in a subdirectory

-WingsXI-Launcher
-Ashita
  \-Ashita.exe

Should be simple enough, but i've tried various things that all result in the launcher just crashing when clicking the button. Here's the event log of the launcher application crash

Faulting application name: WingsXI-Launcher.exe, version: 1.12.0.0, time stamp: 0x63dbf975
Faulting module name: WingsXI-Launcher.exe, version: 1.12.0.0, time stamp: 0x63dbf975
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00014160
Faulting process id: 0x1d24
Faulting application start time: 0x01d942d964186a81
Faulting application path: C:\WingsXI\WingsXI-Launcher.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WingsXI\WingsXI-Launcher.exe
Report Id: 632fa3cd-6903-4c85-abe1-c20467e6e72c
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

I ran the launcher with `/D1` parameter and this is what comes when i click the launch button, just before the crash (I adjusted my check for updates button to run a simple bat first because the launcher was crashing without writing debug info):

[08-09-12]: - Incoming Parameters sent to Action List: {Launch Local File|./Backup.bat|0|/commandline|||||||||{Patch System|/W1 /i1|0|0|p_0_progress_bar_0|0|0||||||

[08-09-12]: - Adding New Command to Action List: Launch Local File|./Backup.bat|0|/commandline|||||||||

[08-09-12]: - Adding New Command to Action List: Patch System|/W1 /i1|0|0|p_0_progress_bar_0|0|0||||||

[08-09-12]: - New Action List Command Added.
[08-09-12]: - Total actions to render: 2

[08-09-12]: - Executing Action List Command: Launch Local File|./Backup.bat|0|/commandline|||||||||

At any rate, that is all the logs that it gives. Then the launcher crashes and the above event log is generated.

Also, while writing this forum post to get help, it somehow doesn't do it anymore and executes the bat scripts properly

This is resolved as i found the underlying cause with a string widget
