You should only update this once you have run through the Update Checklist and everything is good to go.
You should use semantic formatting, which is xxx.xxx.xxx
You should NOT use any more than two decimal places. Semantic versioning is the developer standard for all applications and games. You should only need
MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH.
The Major, Minor and Patch numbers can be as big as you like (within reason). The first part xxx. represents the major version number of your game, this shouldn’t update too frequently. You will probably stick at 1 for a long time.
The Minor number is the minor changes version and the Patch number represents a small patch that was issued.
